ETHICS POLICY

Ethics Statement and Publication Misconduct

Innovarium International Journal is fully committed to upholding the highest ethical standards throughout every phase of the editorial process. To ensure the integrity of our publications, we adhere to the COPE Code of Conduct and the ICMJE guidelines, promoting ethical practices in the preparation, submission, review, and publication of manuscripts. Below are the fundamental ethical principles. For further details, we recommend consulting the official COPE and ICMJE documents.

Editorial Board Responsibilities
Editorial Independence and Fair Review

The editorial board will assess manuscripts solely based on their academic quality, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Personal factors such as race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or institutional affiliation of the authors will not be considered. Editorial decisions will be made independently, free from external pressures, including governmental or institutional influences, and are the sole responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief.

Confidentiality

All information regarding submitted manuscripts will be treated with strict confidentiality. Access to this information is limited to the corresponding authors, reviewers, and essential editorial staff involved in the process.

Conflicts of Interest and Disclosure

It is strictly prohibited to use unpublished information contained in manuscripts for personal or financial gain without the explicit written consent of the authors. Should an editor have a conflict of interest concerning the authors, institutions, or funding sources of a manuscript, they must recuse themselves from the review process and delegate it to another editorial team member.

Ethics in Scientific Publication

All research published in Innovarium International Journal must comply with the ethical regulations applicable in the country or region where the study was conducted. It is the authors’ responsibility to secure all necessary approvals prior to conducting their research.

If manuscripts include images of human participants, the protection of their identity and privacy must be ensured. The journal follows the ICMJE recommendations for the preparation, submission, editing, and publication of academic articles, available in the ICMJE Recommendations document.

Research Involving Humans and Animals

Studies involving experimentation with humans or animals must adhere to the ethical standards set forth in the Declaration of Helsinki (available in both English and Spanish).

Authors must obtain informed consent from all participants and explicitly state this in the manuscript.

Randomized clinical trials must have approval from an Institutional Review Board or Ethics Committee (or equivalent per local regulations), disclose funding sources, and be registered in a public clinical trial registry such as ClinicalTrials.gov.

Conflicts of Interest

All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could potentially influence the conduct, analysis, or publication of their study. If no conflicts exist, the manuscript must clearly state:

"Conflicts of interest: none."

If conflicts of interest are present, authors must report them in the appropriate section and include a Conflict of Interest Statement following the ICMJE format, accessible via this link. The information provided should be consistent with that in the manuscript.

For additional guidance on conflicts of interest, please refer to section II-B-2 of the ICMJE Recommendations.

Funding Statement

Authors are required to disclose all institutions that provided financial support for the research and/or manuscript preparation, specifying their role in study design, data collection and analysis, manuscript writing, and the decision to submit for publication.

If the research received no funding, this must be explicitly stated in the corresponding manuscript section.
