Youth Councils: a state of the matter

This article presents the first stage of the documentary review conducted within the framework of the "Disciplinary Foundations in Social Work and Contemporary Trends" Research Seedbed at the Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca. The main purpose of this bibliographic review was to describe the current state of knowledge on youth councils, both nationally and internationally, in academic productions from 2002 to 2022. It also sought to identify the categories addressed in these studies and the methodologies employed, which provided an overview for reflecting on existing gaps and future projections in this field. The documents analyzed reveal that the main approaches and themes are structured around three axes: participation, organization, and policy analysis.
